The Pediatric Acta-Back from the Comfort Company is designed for the user who needs a top of the line back support with unparalleled adjustability. The Acta-Back features a non-slip, custom-fit, moldable center section and Compass Hardware to provide support to users with various medical conditions and deformities. The dual density high resiliency center section provides extra comfort and support to the user, accommodating lumbar, scoliosis and kyphosis needs. The Pediatric Acta Back also includes a lightweight indestructible Kydex Shell that allows for custom modifications without sacrificing the integrity of the wheelchair back. The Acta-Back Compass Hardware allows the wheelchair back to be adjusted without patient transfers or losing seat depth during angle adjustments. The Compass Hardware fits 3/4", 7/8" and 1" wheelchair tubing. The Pediatric Acta-Back is available in a back height of 14" or 20" and includes a soft and breathable cordura knit cover.
The Comfort Company Pediatric Acta-Back includes your choice of either the Stretch-Air fabric cover or the Comfort-Tek cover. The Stretch-Air cover is designed for air transmission and heat reduction. This two ply, breathable laminate cover combines a high stretch lycra top layer with a layer of reticulating foam and waterproof, breathable vapor barrier. The Comfort-Tek cover is engineered for pressure relief and comfort. The Comfort-Tek cover's multi-dimensional stretch alleviates pressure on bony prominences. The Comfort-Tek cover is fluid proof and can easily be cleaned with detergent.
