Medline Maxorb Extra Dressing

Maxorb Extra Dressing Provides Easy One Piece Removal and Fast Acting Absorption without Lateral Wicking

Medline Maxorb® Extra Dressing's non-woven alginate and carboxylmethylcellulose (CMC) fiber combination interacts with wound exudate to form a gel, providing a moist healing environment. Compared to previous Maxorb dressings, Medline Maxorb® Extra has greater loft and fluid handling capacity, 25% more than before and more than other alginate dressings on the market. The added presence of CMC in the Medline Maxorb® Extra Dressing improves the gelling and fluid handling ability as well as adding improved strength. The pad will not wick exudate laterally, reducing the potential for delicate peri-wound tissue damage. The gelatinous pad of the Maxorb Extra may be easily lifted in one piece from the wound bed. Medline Maxorb Extra Dressing is supplied in single pouches with the rope version packaged in a lidded tray.
